The light aren't dim at all, which I'd read elsewhere. I haven't tried a RAM OC above the XMP, but I'm totally okay with what I'm seeing so far. Pros: Had it burning in through the first weekend and it's been solid with my mild i5 O/C (4.6) and XMP has been solid at 3000.

On MSI and ASRock, install their software first followed by the ASUS and it will allow memory lighting control with onboard RGB handled by the manufacturer software. ASUS Aura works with ASUS, MSI and ASRock motherboards (probably others too) to control memory lighting. I was able to overclock on both boards but the timing settings were looser on the Killer board for some reason. I tested this memory on both an ASRock AB350 Fatal1ty ITX/ac and ASRock x370 Killer SLI/ac with Ryzen 1700. The Geil has the best subdued lighting (no hot spots at all) but its also not as bright as these. I would rank them Delta2, SuperLuce, Adata. I feel like this brand gives the best all around look and performance. I have tested Geil SuperLuce RGB, Adata Spectrix D40 RGB and the Delta 2 RGB. Ive already replaced my existing RGB ram in 2 computers with Delta 2. Overall Review: This is the 3rd brand of RGB DDR4 I have purchased and tested and this is the brand I am going to stick with.

If there's a change in stability or anything later on I may revise the review but this set is a low key good one for anyone who is looking for a good looking DDR4 RAM with high clocks, overclockability, RGB with a relatively good price for the way DDR4 prices are right now. Not that that is a bad thing since after playing around with the customization, I let it default to rainbow any way since it looks good enough. Since I have an Asus motherboard, RGB customization wasn't a problem at all, but those without one may not have any other option but the default rainbow lights. The only thing I had to do was to enter it manually versus picking the D.O.C.P option for it because those didn't work stably. Better yet, I was able to overclock it to 3200 First, and then 3333 MHz afterwards running stable with the same timings as on the packaging for 3000 MHz and that may be due to the fact that this is Hynix AFR (better than MFR) ICs instead of Hynix MFR which all the other RAM companies are using in their non Samsung sticks. Overall Review: So I got this set for my R5 1600 running on an Asus Strix X370 gaming-F and it ran at rated 3000 with D.O.C.P setting setup. Pros: Relatively good price for an RGB high speed RAM at the time of this purchase at 113.
